What you’re viewing is a nascent site, early in construction. As this year unfolds, my intention is to build a substantial site whose content focuses upon my vocational efforts: architecture.education.ideas (with a not-unrelated-detour into ceramics).

These worlds have intersected and triangulated into a journey surprising to no one more than myself. It has been a trek from professing to teaching, from speaking behind a lectern to sitting before a potter’s wheel, from manifestation’s struggle to material surrender. And then following its will.

The journey is not over. In fact, I think it’s barely begun.

Along the way, it has been a humbling honor to work with thousands of students, hundreds of clients, tens of colleagues, and a few dozen very special ceramicists who have shared some distance along their paths. Whether for an hour, a day, a week or years, I am the better for their gifts of time and thought as we all make…together.
